In your role as an Associate Manager of Category Management, Convenience Channel at Kellogg, you will be part of our success by:

Winning with key internal and external stakeholders in order to fully understand the customer, the consumer, and the shoppers needs in order to drives results for both Kellogg’s and the customer. This includes:

  • Developing category insights, selling propositions, and recommendations to customers by leveraging analytics from data sources including Nielsen/IRI, Loyalty Card Data, and third party research sources.

  • Attaining new item authorization along with core distribution and shelving goals with their assigned customers

  • Ownership of implementing shelf management objectives using JDA & Gladson to create, update and implement best-in-class planograms across categories.

  • Developing and presenting category & business reviews with category managers & key account management personnel to affect positive business growth

  • Working with the account managers and strategy teams to ensure 360 business plan is being achieve


As well as a hunger to learn and succeed in Category Management, to be considered for this position you must be able to meet the following:


  • High school diploma/GED

  • Experience within the Category Management field

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite tools especially PowerPoint and Excel


  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Space planning and/or shelf merchandising experience

  • Customer interaction experience

  • Tactical and strategic experience in Category Management and/or Shopper Insights

  • Full use and application of analytics, principles, techniques and tools of Category Management

  • Full use and application of data and panel from IRI or ACNielsen or other retailer data sources


Job requires up to 20-25% travel.

This role is an office or home-based role, located in either Elmhurst, IL; Dallas, TX or Los Angeles, CA.
