We have an opportunity in our Global IT Project Management Office for a leader of IT Agile Delivery Excellence in Oak Brook, IL or Battle Creek, MI. We are looking for a respected Agile practitioner with demonstrated experience in agile transformation for large enterprises. WHAT WILL I BE DOING?
The individual is responsible for driving Agile transformation in our Global IT Project Management Office from design to implementation to increase overall IT productivity, meet internal and external customer requirements, to support global business & IT plans, and ultimately help meet the company’s strategic objectives. Activities include:
Provides thought leadership in Agile ways of working through innovation and methodology improvements.
Provides consulting, coaching and training on Agile and related methodologies
Provides recommendations to improve use, adoption and understanding of Agile delivery and enabling tools
Lead the selection and implementation of Agile tool set
Applies process design and mapping techniques in association with suitable software lifecycle tools to define and improve the SDLC process for both waterfall and agile approaches.
Gathers information on existing processes. Performs analysis on current capabilities versus desired capabilities.
Facilitates process design meetings. Applies mapping and streamlining techniques to implement/improve processes.
Defines and authors processes, policies and artifacts for SDLC processes that support both waterfall and agile or iterative methodologies.
Defines and authors best practices for agile project management, including backlog management, sprint process, user-story build-out, and product reporting.
Creates long and short term plans for new and improved processes and policies.
Builds business case for investing in IT improvement initiatives. Develops, documents, and communicates plans for investing in IT improvement, including analysis against approved IT improvement priorities.
Deploys standard processes by communicating and training IT project teams.
Conducts reviews to ensure standard processes, policies, guidelines and artifacts are being utilized. Interprets results of reviews and executes remedial steps as necessary.
Conducts research into emerging IT tools and trends, standards, and products to recommend improvement solutions.
Collaborates with IT leadership and their teams and suppliers to ensure that proposed and existing IT improvement solution plans are aligned with organizational goals and objectives.
Makes continual improvement of products, processes and systems and provides ongoing support to project resources.
Defines metrics to measure process effectiveness and track organizational maturity.
WHAT DO I NEED TO DEMONSTRATE?

High School Diploma or GED and significant related experience
Sound knowledge and experience in various Agile methods and practices (Scrum, Lean, XP, RAD etc.)
Hands-on knowledge and experience in more than one Agile tool (such as Rally, Version One, JIRA-Agile) for managing backlog, sprints, tasks, scrum boards, Kanban boards, defects, and reporting
Experience coaching others in Agile concepts and practices (resume should clearly articulate the coaching experience in a large scale enterprise agile transformation)
Experience in creating and tailoring Agile processes and process improvements in a large organization acting in a leadership/consulting role
In-depth knowledge of IT processes with understanding of how they operate and levers that impact performance this includes end to end software development lifecycle
Strong planning, organizational, problem solving, team leadership and teamwork skills
Excellent consultative skills with ability to influence and align across organizational silos
Ability to build constructive relationships, present ideas and communicate change to all stakeholders
Aptitude for detail-oriented work and the ability to work in a virtual team environment
Must be a confident, self-starter, self-motivated individual who really enjoys the challenges that come with driving, coaching, training and mentoring groups on process improvement
Experience in scaled agile principles and practices
Practical understanding, experience and knowledge of DevOps capabilities such as Continuous Integration and Delivery (CI/CD), Automated Testing, etc.
Industry recognized certifications related to Agile such as Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), or Certified Scrum Coach (CSC)
Project management experience with both waterfall and agile delivery approaches
Experience in Agile methodology project execution preferably in a distributed agile environment such as on-site/off-shore model
Experience playing the ScrumMaster or Agile Coach role for a medium or large development project
Experience with process/maturity models (ITIL, CMMI, Six Sigma) and their use in IT improvements
Experience with process design, mapping, quality tools, and organizational change management
WHAT ELSE DO I NEED TO KNOW?
Travel is expected at 20%.
