We have an opening for you to grow with us as a Senior IT Product Manager, Product Lifecycle Management / Recipe Management in our Battle Creek, MI or Oak Brook, IL or Chicago Merchandise Mart location. This critical role will be the IT product owner for all Product Lifecycle Management, Quality and Nutrition technology solutions. In this role, you will be working closely with business stakeholders in designing and delivering capabilities that support Kellogg’s Innovation and Research group’s business needs, creating value by enabling the business strategy and driving the innovative use and deployment of technology.

WHAT WILL I BE DOING?

In your role as Senior Product Manager, PLM / Recipe Management at Kellogg, you will be part of our success by:

  • Overseeing the technology portfolio for a matrix team spanning Product Innovation, SKU development, BOM development, New Ingredient workflow, and outside packaging graphics systems

  • Leading the design and implementation of a global PLM / Recipe Management solution, ensuring that a solid global framework is designed that still allows us to meet unique regional needs. This initiative covers all system and process aspects from product approval through manufacturing/production.

  • Leading the subsequent regional rollouts of the PLM/Recipe Management solution, ensuring that the global design remains intact but regional requirements are accommodated.

  • Acting as an advocate for Product Lifecycle Management best practices, methods, and processes, representing all regional business stakeholders

  • Integrating the PLM / Recipe Management system with Kellogg’s global Product Information management system to ensure nutrition and labeling data can flow to our global brand web sites as well as our large retail and food service customers

  • Working with the IT Business Relationship Manager to build a technology roadmap for our Product Innovation and Research area that is influenced by the existing application portfolio, key user insights, vendor roadmaps and industry trends

  • Working with our analytics team to build new analytical capabilities, integrating data from the PLM implementation with other relevant data sources to enable continued strong growth in Product Innovation and Development

  • Owning relationships with multiple delivery vendors and driving project delivery through vendor resources

  • Developing a strong understanding for the Product Lifecycle Management, Quality and Nutrition systems and solutions operating within Kellogg

  • Developing self with a broad knowledge of the application capabilities while also developing multiple areas of expertise

  • Owning relationships with key vendors, representing Kellogg on customer advisory boards and influencing vendor application roadmaps

  • Provide consulting to our design tower in development of global Product Lifecycle Management, Quality and Nutrition pipeline

  • Work with the GBS support organization to in transitioning products/services, defining SLAs, and in developing continuous improvement plans

WHAT DO I NEED TO DEMONSTRATE?

As well as a hunger to learn and succeed in Information Technology, to be considered for this position you must be able to meet the following requirements:

Required:

  • HS Diploma or GED

  • Broad understanding of supply chain and PLM and be able to provide solutions to business process and requirements in terms of new design, configuration and business process change for implementation of new systems or updates to existing platforms

  • Solid background in PLM / Recipe Management processes and technologies, as well as experience in implementing packaged solutions to support these needs in the CPG space

  • Strong analytical, project management and team leadership skills with a prior experience working in a global structure

  • Strong interpersonal skills - needs to interact and influence up to Senior Director level and Vendors of software solutions and/or service providers.

  • Strong background in systems/software development lifecycle

  • Ability to identify and effectively resolve issues

  • Excellent written and verbal communications

Preferred:

  • Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent work experience.

  • Experience integrating PLM solutions with Product Information Management and Digital Asset Management tools

  • SAP PLM Experience

WHAT ELSE DO I NEED TO KNOW?

This position requires 10 to 25% domestic travel.
