WHAT WILL I BE DOING?

In your role as a Reliability Manager at Kellogg, you will be part of our success by:

  • Directs the development and implementation of preventive and predictive maintenance programs; and provides guidance on operational issues

  • Develops analysis methods for determining reliability of components, equipment, and processes

  • Conducts analysis of reliability and performance issues and investigates to determine the cost effective methods/solutions for the particular situation considering the cost limitations for equipment, up/down time, repair/replacement costs, and availability of materials/equipment/technologies

  • Acquires data and analyzes the data, prepares diagrams, charts, drawings, calculations, and reports for defining reliability problems and makes recommendations improvements

  • Determines the cost effective alternatives for developing action plans to comply with internal/external customer demands for reliable processes/equipment to avoid failures

WHAT DO I NEED TO DEMONSTRATE?

Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED and significant experience in a manufacturing setting with maintenance / planning supervision and/or management experience

  • Understanding of Root Cause Failure Analysis; ability to facilitate cross-functional teams through complex situations by encouraging and demonstrating a zero loss mindset

  • Broad systems perspective on maintainability and reliability

  • Experience with maintenance and reliability performance metrics & Utilizing measures that are essential to meet Best in Class maintenance performance objectives

  • Understanding the proper elements of a Preventive / Predictive Maintenance program. - understanding of the appropriate application of condition monitoring technologies (thermography, vibration analysis, tribology, motor analysis, and ultrasound)

  • Working experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems, preferably SAP PM and MM

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites

  • Effective communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering/technical or other related field (Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical)

  • Broad exposure to several technical disciplines

  • Ability to manage multiple and sometimes conflicting priorities/projects

  • Ability to work with employees at all levels of the organization

  • Experience creating/delivering budget

  • Understands the impact of design, installation, commissioning and verification phases and the life cycle cost of a capital project

  • Understands and can develop Best Practice standards for all Maintenance functions and activities. Able to develop and use trend analysis techniques (Pareto, histograms, scatter charts, graphs and other techniques)

  • Proven track record of excellent results in previous positions

WHAT ELSE DO I NEED TO KNOW?

This role requires the ability to work on flexible shifts (including weekends) with a 10+ hour day, periodically during weekends and Holidays.
