An exciting opportunity exists for a Supply Chain Finance Manager based from Portable Foods in the Wrexham Plant. This role is a key member of the Plant Leadership Team providing direction and sponsorship to enable the delivery of Plant wide objectives. Reporting to the Plant Director, with dotted line functional reporting to European Snacks Supply Chain Finance lead, the main role will be to lead all the Plant accounting functions together with co-ordinating a wide variety of accounting and statistical data, reports and initiatives. The role is also responsible for driving and promoting a culture and belief in zero incidents.
WHAT WILL I BE DOING?
Your principal duties and responsibilities will include:
SAP Champion for the Plant
Continuously improve reporting tools to provide visibility into operational issues
Ensure the integrity of the financial statements and the accuracy of information
Enforce internal control and accounting policies
Provide strategic direction to the operations to improve plant performance with particular emphasis on cost control and savings projects.
Direct compilation of annual budgets, monthly operations review, month end and other operations related financial information
Deliver the annual cost savings target and the operations Profit & Loss. Train, select and retain talented finance people
WHAT DO I NEED TO DEMONSTRATE?
As well as a hunger to learn and succeed in Supply Chain to be considered for this position you must be able to meet the following requirements:
Educated to degree level with a relevant professional Accounting qualification
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in manufacturing accounting, planning and costing
Expertise in US GAAP and practical application is required
Experience of SAP end to end business processes
Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office)
Excellent analytical, organisational, interpersonal, communication, presentation, coaching, leadership and people management skills
- Previous experience of working within a manufacturing environment
WHAT ELSE DO I NEED TO KNOW?
This role may require flexibility to work outside the core working time due to continuous shift working operation.
This role may require travel to other Kellogg locations therefore a full driving license is desirable.
The proposed start date for this role would be early October 2017
