HERE’S A TASTE OF WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
Quality & Safety Leader – You will be leading quality, food safety, and sanitation programs for some of our well-loved brands. Directing, planning and implementing the EHS, Quality, Food Safety and Sanitation Management Systems in line with Kashi Company EHS and QFS policies and standards. Facilitating the incident investigation, corrective and preventative action processes and systems.
Plant Partnerships – Partnering with Corporate EHS and QFS for program implementation and best practices. Leading the site EHS and QFS Center of Excellence Team and facilitating their activities. Tracking, reporting, and analyzing performance trends and patterns and implementing the appropriate actions to drive sustainable results. You will partner closely with the other Business Unit Managers for program implementations and best practices.
People Management – Proactively engaging in the training and development of all employees. Leading the focused improvement activities to ensure the achievement of key performance indicators. Directing and coaching the facility leadership team to ensure quality & food safety compliance and has the authority to suspend operations when serious quality & food safety risks are identified. 24/7 accountability for the food safety operation and team. Managing trends, statistics, and budget.
Audits – You’ll take particular care in maintaining high standards, internally and externally. You will be participating, as well as leading, the coordination, preparation, and corrective action management for yearly internal and third party audits. Ensuring the facility meets all required quality & food safety laws, regulations, and corporate policies.

YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS
High School Diploma/GED or International equivalent
Significant experience with Quality & Food Safety in a manufacturing setting
Knowledgeable of environmental, quality & food safety regulations
Thorough knowledge of applicable regulations, GMP and Food Safety standards in accordance to regulatory bodies – OSHA, WISHA, Workers Compensation, FDA, USDA, CFIA, etc.
Knowledge of FSMA compliance
Strong auditing and assessment skills, as well as the ability to effectively complete 3rd party and internal audits and implement corrective actions
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products, including Email, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and some knowledge of other computer software
Strong written & verbal communication skills, analytical ability, leadership strengths and ability to work effectively with a team
Bachelor’s Degree or higher in one of the following disciplines: Environmental Sciences, Occupational Health & Safety, Food Science, Microbiology, or related field
Quality & Food Safety leadership experience
People and process management experience
Experience in the food processing and packaging
Safe Quality Food (SQF) Practitioner Certification

This role supports the [Cookie, Cone, Crust, Fruit Snack] part of the Kellogg business. This particular area of the business has been identified as part of a future divestiture.
