As a Sanitation Operator in our Augusta plant, you will take particular care in upholding the integrity of our sanitation department. It’s the heart of what we do every day. Whether at work, or at home, maintaining a clean environment is key to success. In this position, you must be able to meet or exceed regulatory and company’s Safety and Food Safety requirements regarding equipment cleaning and housekeeping. Sanitation Operators will be able to safely perform the 7 steps of the sanitation process on any piece of equipment, while also assisting on the completion of the PIC and PEC (periodic infrastructure-equipment) programs. HERE’S A TASTE OF WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
Owners Mindset – You’ll be managing all waste and recycling duties such as; maintaining a master sanitation schedule, operating the main baler, compacting waste, and weighing and dumping all food waste.
Embracing Agility - When not overseeing all waste and recycling duties, you will also be overseeing all plant janitorial responsibilities. You will be operating forklifts and commercial scrubbers and conducting routine PH checks at the water treatment plant.
Prioritizing quality, safety and housekeeping - Actively seeking ways to improve plant safety and quality and maintaining an open dialogue with the lead and supervisor regarding your day-to-day success.
YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS
High School diploma or GED
Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office
Effective communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
Demonstrated knowledge of behavior based safety systems
Sitting, standing, walking, lifting and / or repetitive tasks throughout the day. Employee will be required to occasionally lift up to 50lbs
Significant food and manufacturing experience
Experience operating a mechanical sweeper / scrubber
Experience in quality / food safety within a manufacturing environment
Sanitation Essentials training
Scissor lift training
Line Release training
