The Director of Corporate Development & Strategy sits in our Global Corporate headquarters, Battle Creek, MI.

HERE’S A TASTE OF WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Lead analysis for new ventures at Kellogg’s - Leading teams in analyzing new business venture opportunities and strategy projects, including acquisitions, joint ventures, alliances, divestitures, business reorganization, process improvements, etc.

  • Executing the process - Partnering with all primary functional areas of the organization, including Finance, Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain, and Legal, while coordinating efforts with external investment bankers, accountants, and consultants. You’ll perform valuations of target companies and make recommendations on valuation and deal terms.

  • Negotiations and strategy - You’ll lead the preparation and delivery of presentations to executive management, while setting negotiation agendas and leading/participating on the negotiation team. Within Kellogg’s, you’ll work with C-Level Management to assist with the development and execution of the strategy projects.

YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS

Required:

  • MBA from a top-tier business school with extensive experience in either corporate development or management / strategy consulting with a major consulting firm

  • Substantial experience leading acquisition and joint venture valuation, contract negotiations, and due diligence.

  • Proven business experience in assisting global organization(s) with new business venture opportunities, including assessment of market attractiveness, entry strategy, and acquisitions or joint ventures

  • Superior analytical abilities including advanced knowledge of financial and valuation theory

  • Ability to identify and address cross-functional issues that may be relevant to completing or implementing acquisitions and alliances

  • Ability to develop internal and external growth strategies, including analyzing new markets and competitors and analyzing internal strengths and weaknesses

  • Ability to lead cross functional teams in corporate strategy projects such as process re-engineering, organization design, and business performance improvement

  • Effective presentation and communication skills

Bonus Points:

  • Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry experience
