Kellogg Engineering Manager, Capital Execution in BATTLE CREEK, Michigan
As Engineering Manager, Capital Execution, you will have responsibility for managing the development and implementation of multiple capital projects and programs for our KNA (Kellogg North America) Frozen Foods manufacturing locations. Your expertise in capital plan execution will help you manage vendors, contractors and engineering service providers to drive the highest value and greatest competitive advantage for Kellogg’s.
You will have a voice, as a key member of the KNA Capital execution leadership team, where you will be part of creating and articulating the strategic vision and direction for the engineering organization and the overall KNA technical organizations.

Execution and Development - Directs and controls the execution of capital programs and projects at assigned manufacturing facilities to improve performance in areas of cost, quality, service and safety and to implement capital projects. Support in the development of strategic plans, goals and continuous improvement programs for the Kellogg Engineering Department that continue to deliver the highest value to the company. Drive sharing best practices across business units and globally.
Leadership - Provides technical leadership and support to supply chain leadership for strategic planning, prioritization and direction. Develops and provides PDP input and career development of Engineering and operations technical resources at assigned facilities. Ensures solid IDP’s and Talent Management are utilized. Deliver the short and long term business unit goals through strategic leadership and business acumen that leverages the strengths of internal and external technical organizations. Lead the development of succession plans for engineering manager positions for assigned facilities. Recruits, coaches and mentors engineering employees to develop future technical and managerial leaders.
Direction Setting and Planning - Responsible for the capital program development and accurate capital spending / cash flow at assigned facilities and BU as a whole. Works closely with other management groups within the Kellogg Company, in the identification of manufacturing technology opportunities and provides guidance as to their technical and economic feasibility. Responsible for monthly SIC direction and overall Frozen Foods execution scorecard metrics (Capital, capital expense, food and people safety, CIP, CCR and project performance) Develops and promotes execution food and people safety programs to ensure best in class safe capital execution.
YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS
Broad understanding of general business, management and manufacturing technologies
A Technical BS or is required in addition to significant practical experience in food manufacturing, packaging technologies and Project Management
Excellent leadership qualities, communication, and management skills are required. A broad knowledge of the Kellogg organization is helpful
MS degree with strong practical experience
Professional Engineering registration would be an asset here
