As an Insights & Planning Intern with Kellogg for Summer 2019, you’ll experience what’s it’s like to be part of our I&P team – an intellectually curious and passionate group that leverages their unique, deep understanding of humans to help grow the business. You will be the voice of the consumer, collaborating with various cross-functional partners (internal and agencies) while helping to drive best-in-class marketing and innovation across iconic brands such as Frosted Flakes, Froot Loops and Pop-Tarts.

  • Bringing Consumers to Life – Our consumers are at the heart of our business, and we need to stay on top of (and even ahead of) trends and culture. You will provide insights, trends, and behavioral learning to help our teams better understand and resonate with kids and teens today – and into the future.

  • Fueling Innovation – You will leverage consumer and cultural trend analysis and insights to unlock new product ideas, flavors, or partnerships to build future innovation pipelines.

  • Competitive Analysis – You will provide competitive overviews, detailing sales performance, innovation launches, creative and media strategy/execution, along with actionable insights and recommendations for our teams.

  • Media Measurement – You will conduct pre-testing across TV and digital tactics to help optimize creative. Additionally, you will leverage in-market data to optimize creative and media performance.

  • Collaborating for Success – Teamwork is key. You will be collaborating with multiple internal and agency partners.



  • 1st year MBA candidate with an emphasis on Marketing/Marketing Reseach

  • Minimum of 3.0 cumulative GPA

  • Ability to demonstrate strong leadership

  • Proven track record in collaborating with others

  • A passion to build strong and enduring relationships with consumers through brands

Bonus Points:

  • Previous marketing experience

  • Nielsen experience


As part of the Kellogg Internship program, interns will participate in a corporate onboarding orientation consisting of executive exposure, previous intern panels, networking events, community activities and more. This paid internship requires a 12-week, full-time commitment starting May 2019. Relocation advising and sign-on bonus provided.

The summer internship and any subsequent job offers will be located at our World Headquarters in Battle Creek, Michigan.
