Kellogg Senior Director, Transportation and Distribution in BATTLE CREEK, Michigan

Join our team as Senior Director, Transportation and Distribution and Lead with us as you manage the Logistics Transportation network, including 3PLs, through strategic leadership, along with internal and external customer relationships, and strategic integration of Logistics transportation into the KNA Supply Chain network.   • Leadership: Communicating the strategic vision to employees and obtaining their input and commitment, motivating them to work toward common plans and objectives; making strategic decisions; exposing and educating C-Suite executives on transportation industry short and long term dynamics; and serving as a model for end-2-end supply chain thinking and execution for peers and VP level executives

  • Planning: Participating in the business planning and budgeting process by developing short and long-term cost containment/reduction strategies. Planning annual or project-specific budgets, and maintaining an in-depth understanding of the organization's strengths, weaknesses, and resources, identifying potential organizational problems and opportunities; creating and implementing a business plan; and leveraging transportation industry expertise to develop leading edge carrier sourcing strategies including operations model, tariff design and carrier selection

  • Continuous Improvement and Development: Future projects will be your platform to propel your career and visibility to leaders in the organization. You will also be responsible for delivering continuous improvement and operational while Initiating and maintaining complex internal/external customer relationships



  • Skilled at high level management with a Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management or related field

  • Your demonstrated ability to lead and motivate others and engaging others sets us up for success

  • Working knowledge of manufacturing & distribution networks

  • Strong problem solving, negotiating, and decision making skills with the proven ability to manage complex situations

  • Proficiency with computers, including the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)

  • Collaborative work style, working cross-functionally is a big part of this role
