In the role of Plant Systems Engineer, you will have ownership for planning, executing, and providing technical expertise for plant electrical systems and equipment. You will be leading the Power, Controls, & Information Systems (PCIS) portion of the Engineering Department to deliver on action plans and contribute towards the strategic vision. As you strive towards meeting our continuous improvement goals and providing technical expertise, you will be a vital part to our facilities’ success.

HERE’S A TASTE OF WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
System Improvement and Innovation – We plan on you driving our future with confidence and an Owner’s Mindset. You will own the performance of the plant’s PLC software systems and network, electrical drawing system, and all power systems work. This could include personnel, hardware, software, plant/system wide architecture and surplus assets. One of the most important aspects will be ensuring the successful delivery and use of the these technologies. You will be collaborating with the site Engineering Manager to promote common systems, leveraging of scale, and future integration possibilities.
Project Support & Delivery – You won’t just be keeping pace, you will be setting it. You will be providing your expertise and leadership for all PCIS projects and site initiatives to meet business needs. You will work with the Processing and Packing departments, as well as developing a relationship with Global Engineering to provide and capture the scope of each project.
Capability Development – We grow together every day. You will be coaching, developing, and leading the engineering support organization and daily operation leadership. You will be managing training for site resources and ensuring expertise around legal and Kellogg requirements. Don’t forget that you will own the budget for all-site PCIS work.
YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS
High School Diploma with substantial working experience in a related technical field
Strong working knowledge with PLC programming
Effective communication and interpersonal skills with ability to manage internal and external relationships
Ability to manage multiple and conflicting priorities
Strong influential skills when working with technicians, managers and other resources
Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering or Technical field with extensive related working experience
Experience with server network maintenance
Experience with electrical power distribution
Extensive project management experience
Experience with high voltage equipment
Possess and maintain all applicable required licenses
