Kellogg Engineering Manager in BLUE ANCHOR, New Jersey

In the role as Engineering Manager for the Blue Anchor Plant, you will provide project management and technical leadership for key areas within the facility. Your responsibilities will be focused around process optimization, planning and execution of all capital projects, engineering, construction/installation, control systems, and compliance with all EHS/QFS and functional regulations.   • Capital Plan Execution – You will be working closely with corporate engineering to deploy corporate technical business strategies that align with plant strategies. You will work across the network to define common execution strategies with similar and local plants. You will utilize the engineering playbook to define, align, and start-up capital projects, while partnering with operations. You will ensure a focus is kept on EHS, QFS, and OEE requirements. With practical steps to get there, you will be reinforcing our passion for optimization and continual growth for the future.

  • Plant Leadership & Customer Focus – You will be a key player on the plant leadership team. You will be attending and participating in meetings defined by our Kellogg Work Systems (KWS) work practices. You will have a customer-centric focus with the other plant employees to build relationships and build engineering capabilities.

  • Process Optimization – Let’s make things happen. You will have a firm focus on defining and solving problems for the site involving technical, equipment, and capital solutions. You will use your technical skill set to provide recommendations on all projects and to ensure plant OEE is met. You will be building technical capabilities of the line-centric teams by supporting in identifying centerlines, advanced problem solving, and integrating equipment modifications.

  • Delivery of Engineering Scorecard Metrics – You’ll play an important role in delivering results. You will have reporting responsibility for period, quarterly, and annual capital project metrics. You will be maintaining an in-depth understanding of the facility’s strengths, weaknesses, and resources; identifying potential organizational issues and opportunities. You will communicate the strategic vision to the plant employees, while making sure their voice is heard and they are committed towards meeting objective goals.

  • Capital Master Planning – You will be a leader of the capital project plan for the facility. You will be gathering project requests from each functional area and ensure you prioritize timing and scope. You will do all this with the partnership of Global Engineering to meet business needs.

  • Sustainability Program Lead – Partner with EHS on Sustainability metrics as well as being a single point of contact for sustainability targets.



  • High School Diploma/GED or International Equivalent with relevant experience in a related role

  • Substantial engineering project leadership experience

  • Strong ability to act dynamically, collaboratively, and customer-centric with cross-functional teams

  • Strong project management skills

Bonus Points:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in an engineering or technical field with demonstrated experience in a related role

  • Managerial experience in a technical capacity

  • Excellent communication and human relations skills

  • Experience with budget management

  • Working experience in the Consumer Packaged Goods industry

  • Experience with LEAN manufacturing / manufacturing excellence
