Kellogg Continuous Improvement Engineer in BOTANY, Australia

An exciting and rare opportunity exists for a Continuous Improvement Engineer to work alongside our Continuous Improvement Manager in our Manufacturing plant at Botany. You will work on a range of interesting projects across waste, safety, consumer complaints and process efficiency that all tie back into our Kellogg Work System (KWS) based on lean manufacturing principles. This role is a great stepping stone to a rewarding career within our Manufacturing Plant.

In this project based role, you will work alongside a team of passionate and driven individuals who have a strong sense of pride in continuing to protect the company’s reputation by ensuring our products are of a premium quality to maintain customer satisfaction and enjoyment.

Keyresponsibilities include:

  • Processcapability and data analysis across key critical areas such as consumercomplaints, safety improvement, waste and efficiency

  • Reviewing,analysing, making recommendations and executing improved process controls whereneeded

  • Own theplant standards – including manufacturing standards, product manuals andstandard operating procedures and any changes made to these

  • Work withand interact with individuals and teams across the business from themanufacturing floor to senior management, understanding the role they play inthe organisation

  • Communicatingproject status to ensure relevant parties are involved, informed and inagreement with impact of change­

Skills,experience & attributes sought:

  • Degree ordiploma qualification in either Manufacturing Engineering, Process Engineering,Quality & Mechanical Engineering, or similar

  • Previousexperience in a manufacturing environment is preferred, but not essential

  • Exposure to SixSigma green or black belt would be advantageous

  • Experiencein successfully delivering projects in a manufacturing environment

  • Ability tomanage multiple projects whilst ensuring delivery of goals and objectives

  • Excellentwritten and verbal communication skills

  • A goodworking knowledge of Microsoft Office products

  • Ananalytical mind, where you can review data, make observations &recommendations

  • Team player– working across all areas of the plant to influence change and make a positiveimpact

  • A can doattitude to resolving issues or improvements required
