In the role of Benefits Compliance & Audit Associate at our Global Business Services (GBS) Center, you will be supporting the Benefits team in managing the day to day compliance work, such as government forms, updates to Summary Plan Description (SPD), Summary Material Modification (SMM), Form 5500 filings, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements, Affordable Care Act (ACA), Employee Retirement Income Securities Act (ERISA), etc., and internal and external vendor audits.   • Be the Master of Issue Resolution: Bring your owner’s mindset, as you’ll be managing the pension and medical appeals process from start to finish. This includes, but isn’t limited to, ERISA claims at the fiduciary level, and includes managing the scheduling, facilitation, case research and preparing documentation for the committee and output from the Committee.

  • Be a Reporting and Documentation Guru : Bring your talent for attention to detail, as you’ll be accountable in ensuring that required agency reports, compliance and participant notices are completed and filed in a timely basis. Strive for simplicity, as you’ll be supporting both internal and external (e.g. IRS) audits of plans – including documentation, administration and finances.

Collaborate with your team and appropriate business partners/target audience in the preparation of benefits communication material and related recruiting marketing material. Have a hunger for more? YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS

Required:

  • Associate’s Degree in Human Resources

  • Significant experience in Human Resources or a related field relative to retirement/healthcare benefits administration

  • Strong technical knowledge to work in multiple Human Resources data management systems

  • Ability to think critically and independently

  • Strong time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines

Bonus Points:

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (e.g. pivot tables, V-lookups, formulas) – double bonus points!

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business or a related field

  • Experience facilitating health plan audits (e.g. Affordable Care Act, Employee Retirement Income Securities Act, SOX Form 5500 filings, etc.)

  • Experience with HR data systems (e.g. Employee Central, case management, Ceridian, vendor systems)
