Kellogg Technical Maintenance Manager in JACKSON, Tennessee

In the role of Technical Maintenance Manager at our Jackson Plant you will play a crucial part in identifying and delivering programs & processes essential to our plant operations. You will plan and execute the maintenance of site-wide equipment that supports the plant producing great food at a low cost. Managing and developing your team to provide a strong commitment to our strategic goals will be important to succeed together.

Our Jackson facility is located in West Tennessee on the "Heart of the Music Highway" between Memphis (76 miles) and Nashville (70 miles). You may be surprised by the variety of arts, theater and music that Jackson offers - as It boasts a long history as the entertainment center of West Tennessee. Jackson offers a variety of neighborhoods, churches and religious activities; as well as places to relax and enjoy the outdoors. Rumor has it that "people who've moved to Jackson say that once you live here you'll always want to stay".   • Maintenance Reliability – We believe in continuous improvement and strengthening our operations each and every day. You will be working collaboratively with the Maintenance and Operations teams to ensure resources are effectively focused on increasing reliability. You will also work closely with capital project teams to ensure maintenance and reliability are integrated into capital projects. You will be identifying, implementing and documenting maintenance and reliability best practices. Financial success is also important as you will be developing and managing the departmental budget.

  • Strategic Thinking – Having an Owner’s Mindset and Agility is key to your success! You will use strong problem solving skills and root cause analysis to resolve and mitigate maintenance issues. You will be in charge of planning, scheduling, and executing planned and predictive maintenance activities. It’s important that you have a firm focus around the development of the maintenance area’s short-term and long-term strategic vision.

  • People Management – You will be a leader that others will rely on. You will be supervising Maintenance Planners and Predictive Maintenance Specialists. You will be accountable to drive skill development and use resources to ensure your workforce is maintained at a high level.



  • High School Diploma or GED and extensive experience in a manufacturing setting with maintenance/planning supervision and/or management experience

  • Ability to build strategic relationships with key stakeholders across the operation to ensure improved collaboration and deliver results.

  • Experience implementing best in class maintenance programs and strategies (TPM, RCM, Planning/Scheduling, Predictive and Preventative Maintenance)

  • Supervisory experience with salaried and hourly maintenance workforce

Bonus Points:

  • Bachelor’s degree specifically in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical)

  • Extensive knowledge in manufacturing MRO systems

  • Experience within the food and beverage industry

  • Experience facilitating lean manufacturing events with cross-functional teams

  • Substantial experience in SAP PM (SAP Super User a plus)
