HERE’S A TASTE OF WHAT YOU’LL BEDOING
Responsible for the updating of packaging databasesfor specifications and all packaging data. Ensure that system is working andthat any data anomalies with other systems across the business are resolved.Inclusive of aligning with business to work on new business systems to enablesimplification
Supports the project team during the product/packagingdevelopment and implementation phases of Innovation projects to ensure newpackaging complies with local food safety regulations, quality standards, shelflife requirements, consumer needs, and sustainability metrics.
Helps evaluation and application of innovativesolutions or new technologies and materials in the design of packaging todeliver a consumer benefit in terms of product use, to enhance profit marginthrough material savings, or to reduce the environmental impact of ourpackaging.
Develops and Implements controlled documents, SOP’sand correct tools for enabling efficient and effective delivery of Packaging
Implements cost savings initiatives to deliver againstthe annual cost savings target.
Takes an active role in theproblem solving, planning and implementation of Lean activities within theimmediate function, department and business.
Ensure that the definedtesting & approval procedures are followed, and that any deviations areagreed with Senior Manager
YOURRECIPE FOR SUCCESS
Basic understanding of packaging operations. ·
Basic understanding of most existing packagingmaterials, equipment, and processes
Able to assess relative risks in and across projects
Able to manage multiple projects for and deliver OTIF
Able to streamline and simplify processes to eliminateactivities that do not add value.
Knowledge of the factors that support the widerbusiness goals
Excellent time and project management skills.
A clear & concise communicator, ability tocommunicate effectively across a cross-section of disciplines and staff levelinternally and externally
Able to negotiate and influence others.
Is logical, pragmatic & process driven.
Able to demonstrate a clear analytical approach toproblem solving.
Have experience in or have knowledge of machinery usedin the filling of components
A good understanding of technical drawing’s
An awareness of relevant packaging legislation Preferred:
Hold a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Packaging orrelated technical field
Sound theoretical technical knowledge of packagingdevelopment & NPD
Passion for creative product development and havehands-on process experience
Effective communication skills and the ability to workwell in a team environment.as well as independently
Show high levels of pro-activity and excellentachievement drive
