Position – Domestic Transport Manager

Location –Manchester

The primary function of this role is to successfully deliver Kellogg products to internal and external customers. To be accountable for on-time, accurate, cost effective and quality delivery to internal and external customers.

  • OTA at warehouse and OTA at customer – 98% and 99% OTA

  • Tender adherence - +98%

  • Adherence to Delivery documentation

  • TFR – 100%

  • Cost per kg – better than budget

  • Domestic transport P&L - €50m

  • Owns the commercial and contractual partnership with all domestic service providers

  • Build yearly Domestic Transportation budget plans

  • Lead daily end-to-end domestic transportation activities

  • Direct and lead the Domestic Transportation team to deliver against Transportation objectives and goals

  • Own visibility on domestic reporting and status updates

  • Deliver high service performance through domestic haulier network

  • Manage technical support solutions from inception to completion in Domestic Transportation

  • Proactively reassess all transport lanes to optimize routes and flows

  • Drive opportunities to improve processes that extend across service and cost performance in Domestic Transportation

  • Own recruitment, selection, evaluation and development of Domestic transportation team


  • It is essential that all applicants must be fluent in local language

  • University Degree orequivalent, preferably in Management, Business, Supply Chain, Logistics orrelated field

  • Language skills - English(Required); Second Language (Preferred)

  • Proficient knowledge of aTransport Management System

  • Strong analytical andproblem solving skills

  • Strong understanding oftransportation rules and regulations; standard processes and business policies

  • Excellent understandingtransportation costs and reporting

  • Excellent prioritization

  • Customer focused leader whocan intelligently balance the demands of the day-to-day and strategicexpectations.

Preferred Criteria

  • Master’s Level University Degree inManagement, Business, Supply Chain, Logistics or related field

  • Training and certification on Six Sigma orLEAN, or similar quality management experience

  • Experience of working for a multinationalorganization and working with colleagues internationally

  • CPG industry work experience

  • Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g. SAP) and MicrosoftOffice

Relationships in this role

  • Reports to the KEU Transport Director

  • Leads KEU Domestic Transportation Team

  • Peer Relationships – senior transport managers, customer integrationmanagers, supply planning managers, distribution managers and finance managers,co-man managers, Kellogg data analytics team, IT

  • Other relationships – Logistics director, Hauliers, External Customers(performance and export team), Co-Packers and Co-Manufacturer partners
