Kellogg R&D Technical Adminstrator (6 months fixed-term contract) - multiple roles in MANCHESTER, United Kingdom

In this role you will support the Kellogg’s R&D Food & Packaging Designers with the data requirements of the product development process and you will coordinate, collate and maintain system specifications and recipes containing ingredient, packaging and final product data to ensure data accuracy and system integrity.


Maintains PLM system including the populating of ingredient, packaging specifications and final product recipes and data:

  • Co-ordinates with suppliers in order to ensure new specification information is supplied promptly and accurately

  • Co-ordinates with food and packaging design teams in order to verify data accuracy

  • Maintains documents within the document management system

  • Utilises internal systems to ensure process visibility and consistency

  • Carries out associated activities utilising internal systems & processes

  • Analyses data, generates reports and instigates corrective actions

  • Maintains healthy supplier relationships

  • Supports other members of the team in the execution of their project activities within the Product Lifecycle Management system


Education and Experience

  • At least two years demonstrable experience maintaining data in a FMCG (ideally Food & Drink) company

  • Experience working with product development systems

  • Experience working with food or packaging specifications

  • Degree level or relevant technical qualification preferred

Technical competencies:

  • Have an understanding of specifications & product development data requirements

  • Competency using ERP & PLM systems (preferred)

  • An understanding of Food and/or Packaging development

  • Comprehensive experience with Microsoft Excel & manipulating data

  • Leadership, communication & other capabilities that are needed for this role:

  • A clear and concise communicator with the ability to work well in a team environment as well as independently

  • Show high levels of pro-activity and excellent achievement drive

  • Highly diligent

  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic with a positive approach


The role is office based, but with potential occasional visits to manufacturing facilities or suppliers.
