Kellogg IT Data Science Manager in QUERÉTARO, Mexico

Grow with us as Data Science Manager in the Kellogg LA Team. In this position you will be responsible for solving business problems and questions using advance data and statistical modeling techniques.


In this role, you will be part of our success by:

  • Assisting in the design, development, and deployment of data-driven predictive models to solve business problems using the most appropriate techniques in data mining, machine learning, and statistical modeling

  • Diving into large, noisy, and complex real-world data to produce innovative analysis of historical patterns in customer behaviors and product performance

  • Working closely with data warehouse architects and software developers to generate seamless business intelligence solutions for business partners.

  • Piloting emerging “big data” technologies to help Kellogg

  • understand how to exploit new methodologies, technologies and tools

  • Driving toward deep visibility of the business, end-to-end through analytics and fact-based data disciplines

  • Advocate for and train the organization during deployment of analytic solutions


As well as a hunger to learn and succeed in to be considered for this position you must be able to meet the following requirements:


  • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Engineering or related field

  • Highly analytical, confident and persuasive leader with a successful track record in building cross functional / geographical boundary relationships using analytics and data science to influence Senior Leaders in developing and implementing both tactical and strategic plans

  • Knowledge of at least one ‘analytical engine’ type programming language (either ‘R’, ‘SAS’, or ‘SPSS’)

  • Knowledge of at least one ‘data consolidation, processing’ type programming language (either ‘SAS’, ‘Alteryx’, ‘Processing’, ‘Python’, ’R’, ’Perl’)

  • Advanced knowledge of SQL & ability to extract data from various data sources (MS SQL, Oracle, Hadoop, CSV, Excel, Access)

  • Knowledge of at least one ‘data visualization’ toolset (SAS visual analytics, JMP, D3.js, Tableau, Qlik, Microsoft Power BI)

  • Statistical knowledge – understanding of multiple variable regression (logistic, linear), analysis of variance, understanding of statistical designs
