This includes development of sales plans and responsibility for ensuring execution of all activities related to the accounts(s). You will develop customer’s relationship plans to penetrate all levels and functions of the customer’s organization in effort to position the company for future growth. While you are at it, you will also be building your network and expertise in a thriving and prioritized channel within both Kellogg and the broader food manufacturers industry.

HERE’S A TASTE OF WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
Account Development – As a National Account Manager you will take ownership of your business by developing and executing situation assessments, objectives, strategies and execution plans. Increasing points of distribution of key categories and SKUs within customer segments will be key to your success.
Strategic Partnerships – Collaborating with peers together you will identify best practices and support each other’s efforts where possible for the greater good of the organization. Partnering with customer leadership you will be responsible for leading the development and cross-functional implementation of growth driving Joint Business Plans.
Analytics – Knowing your business will be imperative in driving sales growth. You will analyze and apply financial disciplines necessary to enhance business decisions regarding the origination and renewal of large multi-year contracts / agreements. Utilizing data you will provide and act on business insights that drive actionable results.
Budget Management – You will be responsible for Kellogg’s overall financial health and wellbeing of each customer’s product portfolio, trade and travel spend. Submitting accurate data will be necessary for finance to build customer P&Ls and analysis.
YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS
High School Diploma / GED
Significant experience in national account sales, regional sales or customer marketing preferably in the Foodservice Industry
Strong and professional interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work in conditions of changing priorities
Must be highly skilled in computer and software applications, which are critical in order to effectively, execute the job. i.e., Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
High level of organizational skills and must be totally self-sustained in order to effectively work remotely while traveling and / or from a home office.
Strong interpersonal skills to be able to work effectively with both the internal and external customers
Job requires extensive travel, extended work schedule including some weekends.
Experience utilizing Salesforce
The ideal candidate will reside in either the Chicago, IL or Washington DC metro area and will work from a home office location.
A flexible work schedule and the ability to travel overnight up to 25% of the time
This position provides participation in the Kellogg Auto Reimbursement Program.
